My career as a fitness professional began twenty-five years ago, but my
journey in fitness started long before that — in a small gym in Manhattan, where my father introduced me to strength training at the age of three. In truth, he couldn’t afford a babysitter, so he brought me along. As a scrawny, bullied kid on the Lower East Side, lifting gave me confidence, control, and a sense of identity that’s stuck with me ever since.
I’ve dedicated my life to helping men and women over 45 realize that age doesn’t have to define them. I’ve worked with clients recovering from injuries, managing autoimmune conditions, adapting to prosthetics, and returning to life after joint replacements. What they all have in common is a desire to keep living — fully, actively, and on their terms.
My mission is built on three pillars: strength, longevity, and quality of life. Whether it’s getting back on the golf course, playing with grandkids, or traveling pain-free, I help people overcome fear, false beliefs, and the myth that it’s “too late.” At 53, I tore my pec and needed surgery. It was a setback — but I recovered, rebuilt, and came back stronger because I live the same principles I coach. I'm personally invested in every client's journey. Your success is my success. This isn’t just training — it’s legacy work.
After two years writing for the AI fitness startup Tonal — developing on-screen coaching content in collaboration with sports scientists and professional athletes — I launched Flicker Strong, a concierge fitness service dedicated to ensuring that you never again let age define you.
A concierge fitness trainer is exactly what it sounds like—personal training without the hassle. I come to you, or you come to my private studio. I build your program from scratch, based on your goals, your injuries, your schedule, and your life. No gyms, no guesswork, no distractions. Just high-level coaching, wherever you are.
We start with a consultation, movement assessment, and body composition analysis—either at your home or at my private studio. From there, I build a customized program based on your goals, injuries, schedule, and equipment. Whether you’re starting from scratch or have years of training behind you, I tailor everything to your current level. Most clients train with me 2–3 times per week. Everything is built around you and your individual needs.
I train clients in their homes in Los Angeles and throughout the Westlake Village/Thousand Oaks area—or at my private studio in Oak Park. No crowded gyms, no distractions—just focused, personalized training in a space that works for you.
I’m a Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine—one of the most respected organizations in the fitness industry. I have over 25 years of professional experience and have worked with hundreds of clients helping build strength, improve mobility, and train safely around injuries. My clients have included physical therapists, surgeons, and anesthesiologists who trust me to deliver intelligent, science-based programming. I stay current on the latest research to make sure every program I deliver is both effective and personalized.
Consistency is everything—and it’s exactly where most people struggle. I’m your partner in this journey, and I make sure the process is exciting and enjoyable. I help you build momentum through small, meaningful wins—so training becomes something you want to do, not something you “have to” do. Over the years, I’ve watched countless clients go from dreading workouts to making training a natural, energizing part of their lives. My goal is to make this the most consistent and successful you’ve ever been.
